Mindful Creations is a group dedicated to combining the practice of compassion and creativity throughmaking things for others.
We invite people of all levels of meditative practice and creative disciplines to participate in this act of generosity. Enjoy participating in a group project or choose a charity that inspires you and join us! We offer free knitting lessons for all and welcome members and non-members of the Shambhala Meditation Center of Minneapolis.

Mindful Creations' "Warm the Heart Drive"

Mindful Creations will accept donations of handmade scarves, mittens, and hats to donate to Simpson Housing Services.
Minneapolis-based Simpson Housing Services supports men, women and families experiencing homelessness achieve housing stability. Help us keep these families warm during the brutal Minneapolis winter.

Dates: Now-December 30th
What items are accepted? Handmade hats, scarves, and mittens.
What material should I use? Any material is acceptable, but wool is best.
What pattern to use? Feel free to use any pattern you like. Copies of patterns will be available at the Center in the library area.
Where do I drop them off? Look for the basket located in the Shambhala Library in the basement of the Shambhala Meditation Center of Mpls.
These items will then be donated to the Simpson Housing Program the first week of January.
**Items dropped off by Childrens' Day Dec 20 will be dropped off in time for the holiday season**

Ikebana Classes
taught by Yoshie Suzuki Babcock
Minneapolis Shambhala Center
Upcoming classes: TBD
No previous experience is required.
Experienced Ikebana practitioners at any level are welcome.
There is space available.
Yoshie Suzuki Babcock was born in Tokyo, Japan,
and studied the Sogetsu method of Ikebana
under master instructors Soen and Gyokuen Sakai.
She travels to the Sogetsu Center in Tokyo
and national events in the United States in order to enhance her skills.
Her instructor ranking is one of the highest offered by the Sogetsu school.
