Local sangha member Kimberly Lueck's article

Joining Heaven and Earth:

Chogyam Trungpa and the Dharma Arts of Shambhala Buddhism

originally appeared in ARTS: The Arts in Religious and Theological Studies.

Recently it was published in The Newspaper of Shambhala: The Dot.

The article features works by local sangha artist Lisa Stanley.

It is a delightful read: ..\Dot articles.pdf

Lisa Havelin has donated a collection of jewelry to the

Minneapols Shambhala Center, which is now for sale in the downstairs branch of Wangtang. As you may know, Lisa is a metalsmith, and each piece of jewelry is handmade in her St. Paul studio. The jewelry is lovely, and both the Shambhala Center and individuals who purchase it will benefit from her generosity. Next time you are at the Center, treat yourself by at least looking at the work of one of our sangha artists.

For years there has been a large outdoor ikebana installation at U of M's Arboretum, done by international flower artists. View last year's installation at http://www.sogetsu.or.jp/english/index.html. Click on the Minneapolis/St. Paul link. I think you can spot Ms. Lisa Stanley from our community if you look closely.
