These workshops, or "levels," provide a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation practice, emphasizing the development of genuine confidence, humour, and personal dignity within the complexity of daily life.
In the Level II Birth of a Warrior program, we focus on deepening the meditation practice through the cultivation of contentment and simplicity. Director Shelley Pierce is a senior Shambhala student and teacher who was previously the co-director or Shambhala Training International in Halifax, NS. She is a Shambhala Art and Sogetsu School of Ikebana teacher and is currently the Development Director of Multifaith Works, an organization that offers support to those suffering from life threatening diseases such as HIV/AIDS and MS. She is visiting from Seattle, WA.
